Here is Gill-Man, the creature from the Black Lagoon. Gill-Mans recent popularity coincides with the debut of Universal Studios live performance of The Creature from the Black Lagoon- The Musical. You have to check out the detail in this beauty, it looks like they just pulled him from the water in this life sized fiberglass bust statue. He measures  25.00″ H (635mm) x 14.00″ W (355.6mm) x 17.00″ L (431.8mm), this baby is also 30 lbs. He is going to set you back $454, but I think it is worth it. Ryu Hayabusa Limited Edition statue from Ninja Gaiden 2

If you’re a fan of Ninja Gaiden it’s hard to look past this highly detailed Ryu Hayabusa 1:4 Scale Resin Statue from the video game Ninja Gaiden 2.

He comes equipped with his signature Dragon Sword, the Eclipse Scythe and a Falcon’s Talon.

He’s a perfect scaled replica at 25% of the character’s actual size, standing at 18-inches tall.  When you include his Eclipse Scythe, he stands at 31-inches tall (from the bottom of the base to the top of the scythe).

The Dom Santiago Final Hope statue joins the Marcus Fenix Final Hope statue as a brilliant limited edition collectible from the video game Gears of War.

The  is a very, very limited item (only 100 of them in the world) and you can expect it to sell out fast.

This one is a San Diego Comic Con exclusive and looks superbly detailed.  I don’t know what it’s constructed out of, but Sideshow advertise it as “the highest quality materials.”

I’m a big fan of the blue metallic paint finish.

Stands 9.9″ high.

Marcus Fenix Final Hope - Limited Edition 100 (click to enlarge)

Gears of War fans are going to go banana’s of this beautiful limited edition collectible from Mindzeye Studios.  Film collectors will also be interested given the Gears of War feature films on the horizon.

The Marcus Fenix Final Hope ‘Gears of War’ replica is a very, very limited item (only 100 of them in the world).  Sideshow already have their ‘low quantity meter’ falling fast.

This one is a San Diego Comic Con exclusive from Sideshow Collectibles.  It looks superb with its blue metallic paint finish.  I don’t know what it’s constructed out of, but Sideshow advertise it as “the highest quality materials.”

Bronze Rocky Statue (click to enlarge)

Schomberg Studio’s have produced a couple of different types of Rocky Statues and they’re all eye catchingly superb.

The image above is the Bronze Rocky Statue.  It stands 20″ high and weighs a whopping 13.15kg (29lbs).  It’s constructed 100% from bronze and is set atop a marble base.  It’s a Limited Edition piece but I have no idea of how many (not listed on the site).

Smaug the Golden Dragon Bronze Sculpture Limited Edition 20 (click to enlarge)

Smaug the Golden is the first sculpture in John Howe’s and Weta’s range of sculptures from Middle-Earth.  The Art of John Howe – Sculptures from Middle-Earth is a series of sculptures from Howe’s representations of Tolkien’s worlds, sculpted by Weta sculptors Daniel Cockersell, Brigitte Wuest and Eden Small under the creative guidance of John Howe and Richard Taylor.

Having adorned the cover of The Hobbit, it is an instantly recognizable image to fans of Lord of the Rings, and with two The Hobbit feature films on the way, this is sure to become a prize collectible given it’s a Limited Edition of only 20 pieces.

The sculpture is based on Howe’s original artwork that was first published on the cover of the paperback edition of The Hobbit in 1991:

Of course, not all Lord of the Rings collections can afford a bronze version of Smaug, and for this reason Weta are also offering a faux-bronze version too.  Although not made purely from bronze, from the outside will look largely the same in your LOTR collection.

The Sacrifice Statue

Wow, this is an amazing collectible.  The Sacrifice Statue is the third resin quality PVC statue released in Yamato USA’s Fantasy Figure Gallery.  It is based on Dorian Cleavenger’s painting entitled “The Sacrifice” and sculptured by Plant-jzero Moekichi

If you can watch the video and not be captivated by this beautiful fantasy collectible then you’re doing better than me.

The Sacrifice Statue is a PVC statue that stands nearly 13″ including an elaborately detailed altar base and removable parts.

Accessories include cast-off clothing and an altar display base.

I’ve seen some sites advertising this as a Limited Edition piece but as far as I can tell it isn’t.  It’s just damn cool.

Doc Savage Statue, 1000 Limited Edition

As soon as I saw this Doc Savage Statue I thought it fit the “cool collectible” label.

Doc Savage is one of the most famous characters to come out of the pulps.  Street and Smith Publications’ ran their Doc Savage Magazine from 1933 to 1949.

The character was revived in the early 1960s as paperbacks from where his modern look arose, and then in 1975 the Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze film debuted.

One of the best artists to work on Doc Savage was Bob Larkin and it is his art that this statue is based upon.

This Doc Savage statue stands 19-inches tall and comes with a certificate of authenticity confirming its Limited Edition number of 1000.

The statue is sculptured by Tony Cipriano and paint mastered by Kat Sepene, although I’m not entirely sure what the statue is made out of.

Nonetheless, a pretty cool limited edition collectible that only just came in to Entertainment Earth.

Limited Edition Metroid Phazon Suit Statue

If you’re a fan of Metroid then you’ll love this.  If you know nothing about Metroid then I’m guessing you’ll still appreciate just how awesome this Metroid Samus Aran Phazon Suit Statue looks.

Metroid is an action/adventure video game from Nintendo.  In the game, the Phazon Suit is created after the Power Suit from Metroid Prime is corrupted by an overload of pure Phazon.

This statue was built with inspiration from official Metroid artwork and is based on the official game files for accuracy.

The suit stands 8-inches tall, 11-inches wide and is cast in a transparent resin and includes over 25 LED lights.  The statue is posed on top of a mirror base that acts as a great reflective surface for the lights as can be seen in the image above.

The Metroid Samus Aran Phazon Suit Statue is a limited edition piece of only 1500.

The statue is supplied in a full-color box with a foam interior and card of authenticity.

Limited Edition Life-Size Bronze Statue of Gollum

I often refer to the collectibles I post here as “works of art” and no more does such a label apply than it does to this life-size statue of Gollum from Lord of the Rings. This is truly a work of art befitting not only a serious Lord of the Rings collection, but even an art gallery.

Bronze Gollum stands 3 ft 6 in; crouching on the rock, he reaches a height of approx 150 cm.  He stands at the exact same dimensions as Gollum in Peter Jackson’s films because this statue is sculptured by the same people who brought his image to the screen.

Now, he’s pure bronze so guess what, not everyone is going to be able to afford him at a price of NZD $23,810.00.

This unbelievable Lord of the Rings collector’s piece is also a very, very limited item.  Only 30 of them will be made, and those will be made specifically to order.  Until you pay your $3000 non-refundable deposit, your Bronze Gollum Statue doesn’t exist.

Once you order him you’ll also have to wait 6 months for delivery.  Since he’s made to order at such a high quality, you simply have to be patient.

Bronze Gollum comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Weta Creative Director Richard Taylor.
