Smaug the Golden is the first sculpture in John Howe’s and Weta’s range of sculptures from Middle-Earth. The Art of John Howe – Sculptures from Middle-Earth is a series of sculptures from Howe’s representations of Tolkien’s worlds, sculpted by Weta sculptors Daniel Cockersell, Brigitte Wuest and Eden Small under the creative guidance of John Howe and Richard Taylor.
Having adorned the cover of The Hobbit, it is an instantly recognizable image to fans of Lord of the Rings, and with two The Hobbit feature films on the way, this is sure to become a prize collectible given it’s a Limited Edition of only 20 pieces.
