This easily ranks as one of the best TV Show/Film collectibles I’ve seen in a while and I have no doubt that fans of Firefly and Serenity will want this bad.

Serenity – The Big Damn Replica is a prop replica from Quantum Mechanix based on the Firefly-Class transport ship “Serenity” from Joss Whedon’s TV Series Firefly and the film spinoff Serenity.

Limited Edition Stargate SG-1 Goa'uld Death Glider (click to enlarge)

There aren’t nearly enough Stargate collectibles going around, so I’m pleased to see Quantum Mechanix are on the job (under license from MGM Studios) with this scaled replica Goa’uld Death Glider.

This is the second replica ship by Quantum Mechanix based on Stargate SG-1, the first being their F-302 Strategic Fighter – Interceptor Replica, and it’s the most detailed model of the Death Glider ever produced.

The wings span 8 inches and the model itsel fis hand-painted. The model also comes with a detailed diorama base that includes a miniature Stargate, DHD and stone circle.

The Goa’uld Death Glider is a Limited Edition piece of 1,500 individually-numbered replicas that come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Personally I think this is an absolute bargain at $99.99.

Star Wars Ep III - Revenge of the Sith, Darth Sidious Lightsaber

This Star Wars collectible is an official reproduction of Darth Sidious’ Lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith.

It comes with a custom display case, numbered plaque, and certificate of authenticity.  The display case has a matte black base, mirrored floor, acrylic supports, and acrylic dust cover.  I don’t have an image of it unfortunately.

Here’s the deal.  I’ve found this collectible, which is advertised as a Limited Edition (but of how many I don’t know), in a few different places.  Generally you’re looking at around $379 for it. But, I’ve found two separate places where you can get it a lot cheaper – for a limited time.

The first is on eBay.  There is an auction going with a starting bid of only $319.99.   At the time of writing this the auction is new with 6 days to go and 0 bids.

But, before you do that, you’ll want to check out another listing for this item that I found on Amazon where you can grab one of these for $110 off!  It’s brand new and it isn’t that cheap anywhere else, so this would most definitely be the best offer around.  I can’t imagine at $110 off that it will last long and there is only 1 of them available.  In other words, if you want one of these, that’s your best chance to get one at 2/3 the going price.

Further construction details:

To create the weapon of the vile Darth Sidious, the Master Replicas prop department machined an original master and cast copies of the prop in chrome and gold plated resin for ease of handling. Surface detailing consisted of two LEDs – in keeping with the prequel trilogy lightsaber look – a gold colored recharge port, and a brass emitter plate. Other areas, notably the neck rings below the emitter and the individually shaped end cap were gold plated, before the saber was given a distinctive paint finish.

For the Master Replicas model, Lucasfilm supplied their engineers with a pristine copy of the original prop. It was laser scanned to enable them to exactly recreate the unique, organic form in diecast metal, with machined metal details. The trim parts are plated in genuine 18k gold and every detail from the antiqued brass emitter to the unique prismatic paint finish have been stunningly replicated.

Iron Man Arc Reactor Prop Replica (click to enlarge)

Even as an Iron Man fan my first impressions of this were that it was an odd collectible, but after a few people walked past my screen exclaiming “wow, cool!” I decided it really was cool.  At the very least, it’s certainly humorous.

The Iron Man Arc Reactor is manufactured by Museum Replicas Limited and is an exact replica of the actual movie prop of Tony Stark’s heart from Iron Man, right down to the machined metal parts and copper wire to the in-built high intensity LED’s .

If you don’t know the back story, then you’re probably not in the market for this collectible.  Just the same, here it is: the arc reactor supplies energy to an electromagnet, which prevents embedded shrapnel from reaching Tony Stark’s heart.

This collectible is made from machined aluminum, stainless steel, and custom molded plastic.

You can remove it from the stand.

The light functions require 4 AA batteries (not included) with a cool burn time of approx. 8-10 hours.

Includes plexiglass display case and full color certificate of authenticity.

Limited Edition Easterling Miniature Shield LOTR Prop Replica (click to enlarge)

The Easterling Miniature Shield is a miniature version of the actual prop made by Weta for Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings.

The Easterlings were descendents of the Wild Men of the unknown east of Middle-Earth who had a fierce reputation.  In the movie The Lord of the Rings, the Easterlings were featured walking out of the Black Gates of Mordor.  In The Two Towers they almost stumble over Sam and Frodo.  In The Return of the King they take part in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and the Siege of Minas Tirith.

The Easterling Miniature Shield is a Limited Edition piece of only 2000, made  by the same artists and craftsmen who made the original film prop.

The shield is made from metal and can be worn as a badge as well as displayed on the stand.

Limited Edition Replica of Captain Kirk's original chair

Check out this perfect replica of Captain Kirk’s U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge chair as seen in the original Star Trek series.

It’s a Limited Edition of only 1701 pieces worldwide, but it isn’t selling out particularly fast.  Possibly that’s due to the hefty price tag of US $2,199.99, or perhaps it’s more due to the fact that it is a large, heavy collectible which in turn creates shipping restrictions and/or extra costs, or perhaps it’s a combination of both.

Still, it blows my mind and if it wasn’t so expensive I’d love to see this baby sitting in the theater room.  It’s certainly ideal as a centerpiece in any Star Trek collection.

It also (oddly) comes with a miniature replica complete with Captain Kirk figurine.

USS Enterprise Limited Edition Replica

This is sweet as. The Star Trek Commemorative Edition USS Enterprise Replica is a high quality perfect replica of the original NCC-1701 model.

It measures about 32-inches long and scales at 1:350.

The model is expertly crafted based on the surviving studio miniature.

It features durable construction and cool illuminated warp drive nacelles.

Limited edition of only 1,250 pieces, although it’s been available for a while now so I don’t think the “limited” part is forcing a buying rush.  I last spotted it in February 2009 so I think the price has probably put a few people off.

Still, expensive or not, this is a high quality prop replica that any serious Star Trek collector would love to have in their collection.

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army 'The Samaritan' Revolver Prop Replica

It wasn’t long ago that this 1:1 scale prop replica of ‘The Samaritan’, Hellboy’s famous pistol used in the film Hellboy II: The Golden Army, was sold out.

It’s another case of someone losing their deposit and a door of luck opening up for another fan.  All 850 limited edition pieces were gone until now.  I have no idea how many are presently available but I’m guessing you can count them on one hand – or maybe one finger. Either way, they’re about to be as rare as hens teeth so if you want one, don’t take your time as you’re sure to miss out.

This awesome Hellboy collectible is a limited edition gun replica hand crafted in dense metal with a high-grade polyurethane grip and authentic leather braid.

The chamber features four metal bullets.  The chamber can be opened and the bullets can be removed.

The display stand features an engraved B.P.R.D logo and four bullet display spaces.

The round, red portion of the stand can be easily removed from the base to wall-mounted for alternate display.
