Star Wars Framed First Day Covers Stamps Limited Edition 500

This is a black-metal framed and matted work that includes all 15 1st-day covers that were issued in 2007 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope.  Each cover features a Star Wars stamp postmarked on may 25, 2007 with the official United States Postal Service Star Wars commemorative postmark.

Comes with an individually numbered text plate.

Approximate dimensions are 30-inches tall x 33-inches wide.

It’s a Limited Edition piece of 500, and Entertainment Earth are advertising that there is only 1 left.

To be honest, the description for this Star Wars collectible is a bit hazy in my view and the image is really terrible – I assume the 15 covers you get are in addition to the framed stamps?  Whatever the case, if you’re a serious Star Wars fan its the last one, so I’m posting it just in case you might not want to miss out on adding this to your collection.

Star Wars Ep III - Revenge of the Sith, Darth Sidious Lightsaber

This Star Wars collectible is an official reproduction of Darth Sidious’ Lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith.

It comes with a custom display case, numbered plaque, and certificate of authenticity.  The display case has a matte black base, mirrored floor, acrylic supports, and acrylic dust cover.  I don’t have an image of it unfortunately.

Here’s the deal.  I’ve found this collectible, which is advertised as a Limited Edition (but of how many I don’t know), in a few different places.  Generally you’re looking at around $379 for it. But, I’ve found two separate places where you can get it a lot cheaper – for a limited time.

The first is on eBay.  There is an auction going with a starting bid of only $319.99.   At the time of writing this the auction is new with 6 days to go and 0 bids.

But, before you do that, you’ll want to check out another listing for this item that I found on Amazon where you can grab one of these for $110 off!  It’s brand new and it isn’t that cheap anywhere else, so this would most definitely be the best offer around.  I can’t imagine at $110 off that it will last long and there is only 1 of them available.  In other words, if you want one of these, that’s your best chance to get one at 2/3 the going price.

Further construction details:

To create the weapon of the vile Darth Sidious, the Master Replicas prop department machined an original master and cast copies of the prop in chrome and gold plated resin for ease of handling. Surface detailing consisted of two LEDs – in keeping with the prequel trilogy lightsaber look – a gold colored recharge port, and a brass emitter plate. Other areas, notably the neck rings below the emitter and the individually shaped end cap were gold plated, before the saber was given a distinctive paint finish.

For the Master Replicas model, Lucasfilm supplied their engineers with a pristine copy of the original prop. It was laser scanned to enable them to exactly recreate the unique, organic form in diecast metal, with machined metal details. The trim parts are plated in genuine 18k gold and every detail from the antiqued brass emitter to the unique prismatic paint finish have been stunningly replicated.

It’s manufactured by Sideshow Collectibles and may be a Limited Edition – they’re advertising that their decision on that is “TBD”.  That being said, this collectible is already a highly sought after Star Wars collectible because it only launched minutes before I started writing this article yet Sideshow’s “low quantity alert” meter is already in the red.

In other words, if you want one, you better hurry (noting that pre-orders are being taken for delivery in the 2nd quarter of 2010).

Star Wars Trash Compactor Bookends Statue

These hand painted Gentle Giant polystone Star Wars book end statues are cool enough that you can use them as stand alone statues without the books if you want.

Each statue is numbered and comes supplied with a matching certificate of authenticity.

They measure 7 1/2-inches tall x 12-inches wide x 6-inches long, these bookends are well suited for DVDs, books and graphic novels.

Entertainment Earth are advertising these babies as Limited Editions, although of how many they don’t say.

You can pre-order now, but they won’t arrive until April 2010, so it’s a while to wait.  Still, if they are Limited Edition’s and the number turns out to be small, might be best to pre-order if you don’t want to miss out.

Galactic Empire Before All Limited Edition Giclee

The image above is from artist Mike Kungl’s Galactic Empire Before All Limited Edition Paper Giclee Star Wars collectible.

It’s advertised under Entertainment Earth’s “Really Cool Expensive Stuff” list and it is at a price of US$474.99.  But if you’re into Star Wars collectibles then you’ll want to know there are only 100 of these in the world.

This is actually my favorite of Kungl’s Star Wars work.

Measures 36 inches tall x 24 inches wide and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Mike Kungl himself.

Star Wars Chess Set

Wow! This is truly mad – one of the coolest Star Wars collectibles around: The Star Wars Chess Set.

One side is Jedi, the other is Imperial. Pieces include Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Han Solo, C-3PO, R2-D2 and more – 32 collectible pewter figures in total, each in silver and gold finishes.

The game board itself features a glass etched top with Death Star imagery.The board casing is constructed of durable MDF and polyresin and includes a convenient slide out drawer for storing all 32 pieces when not in use.

Limited Edition: Boba Fett With Han Solo In Carbonite

This is one of those must have Star Wars fan collectibles.

It’s a Limited Edition model replica of Boba Fett escorting Han Solo’s carbonite frozen body through the Cloud City flanked by two Stormtroopers.

Each one comes complete with a matching, hand-numbered certificate of authenticity.

It’s a ’strictly’ Limited Edition piece although Entertainment Earth are yet to confirm how many pieces it will be limited to.

Either way fans have been calling for a model of this for a long time so I’me certain it will sell out fast – and we’re betting long before it’s arrival in October.

If you want one, you’ll need a spare $238.99 and we’d suggest you pre-order it or you’ll probably miss out.

Seriously, there are some very cool Star Wars collectibles around, but arguably this is one of the coolest – Darth Maul Force FX Lightsaber.

The Darth Maul Force FX Lightsaber is an excellent die-cast metal replica lightsaber that lights up like the real thing and features a motion sensing humming blade.

See the joining piece in the above image? Yes, two of these babies can be joined to create the perfect double bladed Darth Maul lightsaber.

The blade is made of polycarbonate and is permanently attached to the hilt. It has realistic power-up and power-down sound and glowing effects that look awesome with the lights off. All of the effects are digitally recorded from the original sounds.

These lightsabers are not toys.  Well, they are toys – but they are more ‘collectible’ than ‘toy’.

Each box contains a single saber so to combine them you need to buy two.

If you’ve got the money though you won’t be unhappy, everyone who buys these loves them to death.
