I’m going to cut this post short because the eBay auction ends in only 5 hours.  But, here’s the best thing.  The auction has not been bid on and currently sits at an opening of US$275.  Even when these collectibles were available on Sideshow they were priced at $379.99.  So you have the very real opportunity to score one of these impossible to find collectibles at around $100 off!  Now that’s a great deal.

This Thursday (September 24) Sideshow Collectibles will be open for pre-orders on a new, absolutely stunning Hot Toys Iron Man Mk III 1/6th Scale Battle Damaged Poseable Figure.

I’m posting this preview so that you can get ready because I guarantee this is one collectible that will sell out fast.  I’ve also spotted it up for auction via eBay.

Iron Man Arc Reactor Prop Replica (click to enlarge)

Even as an Iron Man fan my first impressions of this were that it was an odd collectible, but after a few people walked past my screen exclaiming “wow, cool!” I decided it really was cool.  At the very least, it’s certainly humorous.

The Iron Man Arc Reactor is manufactured by Museum Replicas Limited and is an exact replica of the actual movie prop of Tony Stark’s heart from Iron Man, right down to the machined metal parts and copper wire to the in-built high intensity LED’s .

If you don’t know the back story, then you’re probably not in the market for this collectible.  Just the same, here it is: the arc reactor supplies energy to an electromagnet, which prevents embedded shrapnel from reaching Tony Stark’s heart.

This collectible is made from machined aluminum, stainless steel, and custom molded plastic.

You can remove it from the stand.

The light functions require 4 AA batteries (not included) with a cool burn time of approx. 8-10 hours.

Includes plexiglass display case and full color certificate of authenticity.

Stands 7.75″ high .

Sideshow are yet to announce if it will be a Limited Edition item or not.

“Ohhh what!” were the exclaiming words that came out of my mouth when my eyes first fell upon this awesome looking Iron Man collectible.  Now it’s available via a second chance opportunity, which means it was all sold out but someone lost their deposit after failing to pay the final balance.  In other words, snap it up quickly or miss out.

It’s a Hot Toys manufactured 12 inch figure based upon the Iron Man Mk II figure from the Iron Man film, and “hot” really describes this collectible.

Iron Man Mark II Helmet (Limited Edition 250)

Here’s a hot movie collectible from Iron Man.

Only 250 Museum Replica’s Iron Man Mark 2 Helmet’s were made available, and they all sold out.  But it seems one buyer pulled out, lost their deposit, and opened the door to another Iron Man fan.

If you’re into seriously cool collectibles or are a serious Iron Man fan then this Sideshow Collectibles and Legacy Effects Iron Man collectible will blow you away.  I absolutely love it.

The Iron Man Mark III Half-Scale Maquette, based upon the armor design from the first Iron Man film, is a perfect half-scale replica at 40 inches high (you can gather its height from the apple at his feet).

It is crafted from a mixture of polystone, fiberglass, metal and other materials and, let’s face it, it looks as good as the armor did in the movie.

LED’s light up his eyes and his heart (via power chord or batteries) for added realism.

This is one of the best collectibles to surface in a while.

It won’t be fully available until the start of 2010 but Sideshow Collectibles are taking advance pre-orders now.

It may end up being a Limited Edition however the decision on that is currently TBD.
