The Iron Man Mark I Maquette manufactured by Sideshow Collectibles is now sold out, but here’s your chance to buy one thanks to eBay where one of the Limited Edition 1000 is up for sale – and its brand new still sealed in its box.

I’m going to cut this post short because the eBay auction ends in only 5 hours.  But, here’s the best thing.  The auction has not been bid on and currently sits at an opening of US$275.  Even when these collectibles were available on Sideshow they were priced at $379.99.  So you have the very real opportunity to score one of these impossible to find collectibles at around $100 off!  Now that’s a great deal.

If you’re into seriously cool collectibles or are a serious Iron Man fan then this Sideshow Collectibles and Legacy Effects Iron Man collectible will blow you away.  I absolutely love it.

The Iron Man Mark III Half-Scale Maquette, based upon the armor design from the first Iron Man film, is a perfect half-scale replica at 40 inches high (you can gather its height from the apple at his feet).

It is crafted from a mixture of polystone, fiberglass, metal and other materials and, let’s face it, it looks as good as the armor did in the movie.

LED’s light up his eyes and his heart (via power chord or batteries) for added realism.

This is one of the best collectibles to surface in a while.

It won’t be fully available until the start of 2010 but Sideshow Collectibles are taking advance pre-orders now.

It may end up being a Limited Edition however the decision on that is currently TBD.

Avatar AMP Suit Maquette (click to enlarge)

The AMP Suit Maquette is the first in a line of really cool collectibles based on James Cameron’s upcoming sci-fi epic, Avatar.

This is an exclusive to Sideshow Collectibles’ line of Avatar collectibles and has been created in conjunction with the film’s special effects studio Legacy Effects.

The AMP Suit Maquette is an authentic scaled representation of the battle mech in the film, modeled directly from 3D scans of the 14-foot suit that was used by Legacy during filming.

Each piece is individually painted and finished and thus comes with its own unique identity and quality.

Though I haven’t classified this one as a Limited Edition Avatar collectible, it may well become so.  At the time of writing this article Sideshow haven’t yet decided how or if the product will be limited.  I’m guessing it will be.

Price: US $1199.99.

Boba Fett and Carbonite Maquette Star Wars Collectible

Entertainment Earth have the exclusive on this limited edition Star Wars Boba Fett and Carbonite Maquette from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

Crafted by Gentle Giant, this collectible was inspired by events in The Empire Strikes Back.  It depicts bounty hunter Boba Fett standing proudly on guard in front of his trophy, Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

Boba Fett is a 10-inch tall resin statue. The just-frozen Han Solo is stuck in his carbonite block, crafted to appear as if it’s still steaming from the freezing process that took place just moments earlier.

On his way to Jabba the Hutt, Boba is armed with his pistol, rifle, and super-powered suit of Mandalorian armor.

This is quite a unique collectible and is a Limited Edition, although it seems Entertainment Earth haven’t listed the number that it will be limited to that I can find.  I’m guessing they haven’t decided what they’ll limit it too just yet.

If you want it, it’ll set you back US $119.99.  It can be pre-ordered now for arrival in October 2009.
